About me

Dena Stetson has more than 20 years of experience in occupational medicine and primary care, with a background spanning hospital employee health and general industry occupational health settings. She serves as Nurse Practitioner Lead at BBJI OccMed.


Her expertise includes medical surveillance programs such as DOT physicals, audiometric testing, respirator fit testing, police and firefighter physicals, post-offer employment evaluations, and immunization review. She is certified in office ergonomics, hearing conservation, DOT drug and alcohol testing, and pulmonary function testing.


Dena partners closely with employers to design occupational health services that protect employees while maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations. She is passionate about patient education, including smoking cessation, weight management, and exercise counseling, recognizing that healthier employees benefit both themselves and their organizations.


She has served as a clinical preceptor for nurse practitioner students from Mass General Hospital, Simmons University, and UMass, and looks forward to continuing that role.

With a background in dance and exercise, Dena brings a practical understanding of body mechanics that supports injury prevention and workplace ergonomics. Outside of work, she enjoys staying active and spending time outdoors.
