Meet Dr. Kurt Hofmann

Board-Certified Orthopedic Surgeon / Foot and Ankle Specialist

Dr. Kurt Hofmann is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with a specialized focus in foot and ankle surgery. He provides expert care, offering patients advanced treatment options for both routine and complex foot and ankle conditions.

Dr. Hofmann’s clinical expertise includes ankle arthroscopy, minimally invasive foot and ankle surgery, sports reconstruction, and total ankle replacement. His approach combines technical precision with thoughtful, individualized care to help patients regain mobility and return to the activities they enjoy.

He completed both his medical degree and orthopedic residency at Tufts University School of Medicine and Tufts Affiliated Hospitals. He then pursued advanced fellowship training in Foot and Ankle Surgery at New England Baptist Hospital, further refining his expertise in complex reconstruction and innovative surgical techniques. His academic foundation also includes a degree in chemistry from the College of the Holy Cross, where he graduated cum laude.

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Hofmann serves as a Clinical Instructor at Tufts University School of Medicine, reflecting his commitment to medical education and ongoing advancement in orthopedic care. He is currently the Chief of Foot and Ankle Surgery at New England Baptist Hospital, where he trains the next generation of specialists. He also serves as Co-Director of the Boston Minimally Invasive Foot and Ankle Center, helping lead the development and adoption of advanced surgical techniques in the region.

Dr. Hofmann is an active member of leading professional organizations, including the American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society, the Arthroscopy Association of North America, and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. His involvement in these societies ensures he remains at the forefront of evolving techniques and evidence-based care.

Through his leadership, clinical expertise, and dedication to education, Dr. Hofmann continues to advance the field of foot and ankle surgery while delivering exceptional, patient-centered care.
